Love Life Every Day

So many things about my Mom to be #grateful for.

So many things about my Mom to be #grateful for.

Her strength, her deep love, her affection, her commitment to her family, her kids, her husband, her commitment to her friends, and her loving spirit.

My Mom was an unsung hero.

After she passed 13 years ago today, I was blown away by the number of people who told me how she touched their lives. How she befriended them and helped them through difficult times. People I didn’t even know.

That is her legacy.

And I can’t think of anything more important than to be a light in someone’s life.

It’s easy to dwell on all the thing’s we are missing, not having her here. I know she would have loved being a grandmother for many more years, and how different and better our lives would be if she was still here.

But today I choose to focus on all the things she’s given me. Strength, perseverance, and an amazing capacity for friendship and love.

Thank you Mom for being the perfect example of those things.

I am #blessed to be your daughter.
